BULLETIN 2

So far, we've had 8 people show up to our meetings, which have been very productive. We are working on a way for the meeting to reach outside of the tea shop in Philadelphia and possibly onto everyone's computer, but we're not sure how to make that happen yet.

There will be another meeting this Thursday, 1/31. Please email us if you are interested.

Logo and "Motto/Slogan"

The "Earth in my hands" logo has been decided on as the logo, and there is no copyright on it, but we may change it a bit to make it look like a tree is growing out to the earth and roots grow around the perimeter of the earth and turn into hands that are holding the earth… we'll see how it turns out but you can see the original picture of "Earth in my hands" at:

Now, I really don't like the words motto or slogan, but I don't know how else to describe the statement. Anyway, we've been trying to come up with a short phrase to print under the logo on our business cards. These are our ideas thus far:

-          Uniting People to Change the World

-          Unite. Educate. Motivate.

I think most of us like the idea of going with a few power words and I personally like the two above. If you have any ideas for it, please let us know and we'll add them to the list of choices.

Enjoy! Mariano has been working on it pretty hard… it looks awesome.

Banners

We developed a banner that connects to our myspace page:

Local Events

We really need to get started if we're going to "save the planet" so we're going to work on local events right away. We already have a few bands that want to play at these events. Whole Foods and other stores are very active with donations for community service events. There are some really active organizations in the area that we know we can team up with.  The issues that need to be addressed are endless: recycling, litter, water pollution, air pollution, hunger and homelessness, renewable energy, green city council, and much more. We need people that will help out with these events. We need to decide on specifics this week.

Thank you to everyone that has stuck with it so far. The ideas have been great! Let's save the planet!

If, for any reason, you'd like to stop receiving the bulletin just email us and we'll remove you from the email list. Thanks!
